Internet Marketing, you gotta love it. The second you put your toe in the water to find out what all the fuss is about, you’re flooded with tons of information and get rich “now” schemes.
Most are high comedy. Let me ask you this. When is the last time you walked by a business building and someone yelled out the window?
“Hey you, I discovered a quick way to make a million bucks in one day and I can’t wait to give YOU the information.”
Unless Warren Buffet or Bill Gates are your speed dial buddies, it ain’t gonna happen. Nada.
So what’s the answer? You need good, up to date information at your finger tips and you’re going to have to work a little.
But it’s not rocket science. There are just a few things that you do in order and before you know it, you have an online biz. I tell a lot of people to start with eBay if your brand new to online marketing.
Why? Because if your new to the whole game there is going to be a learning curve regardless of what you read online. So if you start off with eBay where a lot of the work is automated for you, before long you will start getting it down.
For example, ok you’ve set up an auction, now you have to get paypal going. This may take someone brand new a little while to get comfortable with. If you were to just set up a website, where would you get your traffic?
Well eBay has taken care of that, the week before Christmas their traffic was just shy of the population of Canada. Am I saying eBay is the ultimate answer, no I’m not. But it’s a good place to start.
